The First Struggles of Building My Blog

From Expectation to Reality : Why “a Simple Blog” Wasn’t Simple at All

When I first thought about creating a blog, I told myself it would take just a day or two. Something quick, something simple. I even told my friends: “Give me two weeks and it’ll be done.”

But reality hit differently. What looks so easy from the outside a few posts, a clean design, hit publish is, in practice, a journey full of decisions, frustrations, and small obstacles that you never see coming.

The Specific Challenge That Almost Broke Me

Designing the Columns

One of the hardest things I faced wasn’t about writing, but design.
I wanted to change the blog layout from a single column (one post under the other) into two columns side by side at the top, with the rest flowing underneath.

It sounded simple. But in practice, I spent hours watching different tutorials, each one showing a step that, for some reason, just didn’t work the same for me.
It was frustrating to the point I almost gave up.

Still, after trial and error, and a lot of patience, I made it work. And that moment taught me something much bigger than just design.

The Bigger Lesson why Struggles Make Us Stronger

Here’s what I realized: struggles are not enemies. They’re actually gifts.

Whether it’s a struggle life throws at us, or one we choose to take on like building something new from scratch — it always forces us to grow.

Struggles bring out the strongest version of ourselves.
They push us to dig deeper, to find more creativity, more focus, and more resilience than we thought we had.

Looking Ahead why the Blog Became More Than Just a Blog

This blog started as “just a side project.” But it quickly became a personal classroom for persistence, creativity, and daily learning.
Every post I add, every layout I improve, is another small step forward in my startup journey.
